- Ikenna Ike registered his first career sack early in the first quarter, forcing Toledo to punt the ball after the Rockets had crossed midfield and driven into Bulldog territory.
- Fresno State went three-and-out on its first two possessions of the contest, representing just the fifth time this year that has happened. In addition, tonight marked the first time in 2005 that the Bulldogs did not score on their opening possession of the game.
- Toledo's touchdown to take a 7-0 lead at the 3:33 mark of the opening period was the first points Fresno State had allowed in the first quarter of a game this year.
- Tonight's contest marked the first time in school history Fresno State played a game on a Tuesday. The Bulldogs will play three weekday games in all this year, including Thursday, Nov. 10 (Boise State- 5 p.m.) and Friday, Dec. 2 (Louisiana Tech- 6 p.m.). Both of those games will be televised nationally on ESPN and ESPN2, respectively.
- The Bulldogs have now outscored their opponents 99-31 at home this season.
- When Tyrone Culver recovered a fumble and returned it 30 yards for a touchdown, it was the first time a Fresno State player had accomplished the feat since Brian Morris against Washington on Sept. 5, 2004. It was the second fumble recovery of Culver's career and his first for a touchdown.
- Clint Stitser's missed extra point on Fresno State's third touchdown of the night was the first of his career. However, his 40-yard field goal to give the Bulldogs a 30-7 advantage was the longest of his career.
- Bryson Sumlin's totals in rushing attempts (17) and yards (106) were season-highs. In addition, his 106 yards moved him into the top-10 in career rushing yardage with 2,037overall.
- Fresno State's 27 second-quarter points were the most the Bulldogs have scored in any quarter this year.
- Tonight's attendance of 34,637 was Fresno State's smallest crowd since Nov. 21, 1998 (34,292 vs. San Jose State) .
- Fresno State's fumble early in the third quarter was the team's first fumble loss of the year.
- Richard Marshall's interception in the third quarter was the seventh of his career and first since Nov. 6, 2004 at Rice.
- Fresno State's first blocked punt of the year was recorded by Ricky Miller in the third quarter, with Paul Williams returning the ball for a five-yard touchdown to give the `Dogs at 37-7 lead. It was Fresno State's first blocked punt since Nov. 15, 2003 vs. San Jose State. It was also the seventh blocked punt/field goal returned for a touchdown in the Pat Hill era and 20th special teams touchdown overall during Hill's nine-year tenure.
- Bryson Sumlin rushed for over 100 yards for the first time this year and sixth of his career.
- Temperature at game time was 84 degrees, sunny and breezy.
