Afternoon Update: Running Finals Underway

FRESNO, Calif.-Competition at the Cal-Nevada Championships continues this afternoon, as event finals highlight today's action at Warmerdam Field.
There is currently a break in the action, as participating schools are introduced to the crowd during opening ceremonies. The Fresno State women will be defending their 2005 team title while Cal State Northridge is seeking back-to-back men's championships.
Schools competing in this year's meet include: UCLA, Cal State Northridge, Cal State Fullerton, Santa Clara, UC Santa Barbara and Fresno Pacific.
Three finals are already in the books from earlier this morning. Those event winners include:
- Jake Knight (UCLA): 60-10 in the men's shot put
- Raquel Sola (Cal State Northridge): 190-10 in the women's hammer
- Boldizsar Kocsor (UCLA): 198-6 in the men's hammer
