Bulldog Update
For the second consecutive weekend, Fresno State competes in Southern California. This time the Bulldogs are taking part in the Mt. San Antonio College Relays, which begin Friday morning.

Regional Report
Four Bulldogs have qualified for NCAA Regionals heading into this weekend. Brian Vazquez (hammer) and D.J. Haynes (discus) are the first-timers while Ryan Moore (400-meter hurdles) and Adam Andresen (pole vault) were expected contenders.
Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational Wrap
Among the notable performances at last weekend's Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational: Juan Valdez running a personal-best 47.69 in the 400-meter dash; Ryan Moore crossing the line at 51.95 in the 400-meter hurdles to take seventh; D.J. Haynes taking fifth in the discus at 155-2 (47.30m) and Kyle Sunderland coming in fifth in the 800-meters at 1:54.07.
Moore Named WAC Athlete of the Week
Junior Ryan Moore was named the Xbox Live WAC Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week for Apr. 4. Moore grabbed Fresno State's only first-place finish at the Cal-Nevada Championships. On the cusp of qualifying for NCAA Regionals all season, Moore finally broke through when he ran a season-best 51.85 to win the title in the 400-meter hurdles. He is the first Bulldog to win the weekly conference honor since Chris Berrian in 2005.
Fourth Place The Spot At Cal-Nevada Championships
Fresno State checked in fourth with 90 points, trailing winner UCLA (246.50), Cal State Northridge (105) and Cal State Fullerton (95). The only first-place finish was credited to Ryan Moore. On the cusp of qualifying for NCAA Regionals all season, Moore finally broke through for the postseason when he ran a season-best 51.85 to win the title in the 400-meter hurdles. Brian Vazquez placed third in the hammer throw in the finals after notching a personal-best of 191-3 (58.30m) in the prelims. Also in the qualifying round, D.J. Haynes established a personal-best with the third-best mark in the discus at 170-0 (51.83m) to qualify for NCAA Regionals.
`Dogs Sweep Dual At Mt. San Antonio College
Fresno State completed a dual meet sweep of host Mt. San Antonio College, winning convincingly on both the men's and women's sides on Mar. 24 at Walnut, Calif. The Bulldog men claimed a 123-68 victory while the women earned a 128-55 win. Fresno State claimed a first-place finish in all but five meet events. Adam Andresen notched a career-best mark of 5.05m to take first in the pole vault, equaling the NCAA mark. Brian Vazquez eclipsed the postseason bar when he threw 185-1 in the hammer.

Four Bulldogs have qualified for NCAA Regionals heading into this weekend. La'Sha Hill (shot put and discus) and Katie Richardson (discus and javelin) have qualified in two events while Mallory Webb (javelin) and Aspen Marshall (shot put) are also in the field.
Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational Wrap
Mallory Webb and Katie Richardson both recorded personal-best throws in the javelin, finishing second and third respectively at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational. Webb established a career-best with a toss of 169-10 (51.76m), taking second overall in the competition. One week after notching personal-best marks in three of four events at the Cal-Nevada Championships, Richardson threw a career-high 163-1 (42.11m) to finish third and qualify for NCAA Regionals (she has already qualified in the discus). Also, La'Sha Hill threw 48-8 (14.83m) to take fourth in the shot put.
Fresno State Places Third At Cal-Nevada Championships
Fresno State placed third overall at the Cal-Nevada Championships, taking third with 112 points behind champion UCLA (182 points) and runner-up Cal State Northridge (122.50). Fresno State recorded two first-place finishes in the finals. One of those came from Mallory Webb in the javelin, as she threw 164-7 (50.17m) to lead the field. In the discus, Katie Richardson established a personal-best of 170-11 (52.10m) to take first. Right behind her was La'Sha Hill, who tossed a career-high 161-8 (49.29) for a runner-up finish. Hill also notched a personal-best in the shot put with a throw of 49-4.25 (15.04m). In the prelims, Aspen Marshall became an NCAA Regional qualifier in the shot put when her toss of 47-1.75 (14.37m) was good enough for second overall.

Mallory Webb threw a career-high 51.48m in the javelin, nearly surpassing the school record of 52.62m. Two other Bulldog throwers established personal-bests, as La'Sha Hill won the shot put with a mark of 49-2 and Jamie Farley took the title in the hammer throw at 176-4. Zinzi Evans and Christina Lopez each registered two first-place finishes among the sprints.
