Track And Field Readies For UC Davis Dual Meet

Bulldog Update
Fresno State returns to Davis, Calif., this weekend for a dual meet against UC Davis. The meet kicks off with the women's hammer throw at noon and the first running event (women's 4x100-meter relay) is scheduled for 2 p.m. The Bulldogs posted wins on both the men's and women's sides in their only other dual meet of the year against Mt. San Antonio College on Mar. 24. Looking ahead, the WAC Outdoor Championships begin May 10 in Honolulu.

Regional Rundown
The following athletes have qualified for a berth at the 2006 NCAA West Regionals, scheduled for May 26-27 in Provo, Utah:
Ryan Moore ... 400-m hurdles ... 51.85 ... Cal-Nevada Champs.
two-time NCAA Regional competitor ... two-time Academic All-WAC ... personal-best stands at 51.30, which he established last year ... WAC Athlete of the Week for Apr. 4 ... 400-m hurdles champion at Cal-Nevada Championships
Adam Andresen ... pole vault ... 16-6.75 (5.05) ... Mt. SAC dual
2004 NCAA Regional participant ... two-time Academic All-WAC ... his season-high mark of 16-6.75 (5.05) leads the Bulldog vaulters and also represents a personal-best ... placed sixth at Cal-Nevada Championships

`Dogs Wrap Up Action At Woody Wilson Invitational
Fresno State participated in the Woody Wilson Invitational last weekend in Davis, Calif. The only first-place finish on the men's side came from Ryan Moore, who ran a 52.33 in the 400-meter hurdles.
Mt. San Antonio College Relays Recap
The Bulldogs recently took part in the 48th annual Mt. San Antonio College Relays. Among the top performances: Ryan Moore recording the Bulldog's only first-place finish with a time of 52.52 in the 400-meter hurdles, Jesse Smith running a season-best 10.68 in the 100-meters in addition to a third-place time of 21.71 in the 200-meters.

`Dogs Wrap Up Action At Woody Wilson Invitational
Fresno State participated in the Woody Wilson Invitational last weekend in Davis, Calif. First-place finishers for the Bulldogs included: Samantha Modeste (11-11.75 in the pole vault), Aspen Marshall (47-1.75 in the shot put) and La'Sha Hill (160-0 in the discus).
Mt. San Antonio College Relays Recap
The Bulldogs took part in the 48th annual Mt. San Antonio College Relays last weekend. Among the top performances: Katie Richardson placing fifth in the discus throw at 165-7 (50.48m), Zinzi Evans crossing the line at a season-best 2:12.50 in the 800-meters for second in her section, Marina Santana establishing a personal-best in the 1,500-meters with a time of 4:47.55 and Aspen Marshall taking third in the shot put at 43-6.50 (13.27m).
Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational Wrap
Mallory Webb and Katie Richardson both recorded personal-best throws in the javelin, finishing second and third respectively at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational. Webb established a career-best with a toss of 169-10 (51.76m), taking second overall in the competition.
