One day after punching their ticket to the Regionals, the Bulldogs found out their destination Monday morning. Fresno State will be traveling as the No. 2 seed to play in the Cal State Fullerton regional. The Bulldogs open up play with the San Diego Torreros as Cal State Fullerton starts with Saint Louis. The Titans are the No. 5 overall seed in the tournament.
The Bulldogs will play in the first game of the tournament, opening against San Diego at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 2 before advancing to the second day of the tournament. All games of the Fullerton Regional will also be televised on ESPNU as well as being broadcast on KMJ 580.
This is the first time that the Bulldogs will play in Fullerton for the NCAA postseason. The Bulldogs played the Titans last season in non-conference play. Fresno State has a 10-3 overall record against San Diego, last facing the Torreros in 1991. The Bulldogs have never played Saint Louis.
Fresno State heads into the tournament as one of the hottest teams in the nation. The Bulldogs have won 15 straight games, and won both the WAC regular season crown and WAC Tournament to get the league's automatic bid.
Tickets for the tournament can be purchased through the Cal State Fullerton ticket office either in person on game days or online at www.fullertontitans.com.
All-Tournament passes are priced at $140 for box seats, $80 for reserved seats. Individual game tickets are priced at $20 for box seats, $12 for reserved seats and $10 for general admission. Individual game tickets can only be purchased online or at the site of competition.
