6/27/2006 12:00:00 AM | Football
Are you the owner of a bulldog with the bloodlines of a champion? Can it run with the big dogs? Is your Bulldog a natural born leader, capable of charging the Fresno State football team on to the field each game this fall?
Fresno State Athletics is looking for a few good dogs - one to be exact! The quest is on to find a bulldog with enough stamina, intestinal fortitude and the all-around winning swagger of a champion to lead the charge into Bulldog Stadium. For six thrilling home games this fall, your family pet can be transformed into the icon of the Valley's most popular sports and entertainment attraction, Fresno State Football. Could your dog be our dog? The official gameday mascot of 2006 Bulldog Football!
If you think you've got a winner, the Valley's best bulldog to represent the Valley's favorite team, join us on Saturday, Aug. 5, to find out if your dog could be our dog for six exciting home games this fall. Join a panel of celebrity judges at Fresno State's North Gymnasium Courtyard lawn at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, for a chance to be chosen as the official 2006 gameday mascot.
The winner will be introduced to the public and make his or her first appearance at the Fan Appreciation Scrimmage on Aug. 12. Our 2006 Fresno State Football mascot will strut prominently along the home team sideline for each game this fall. Who knows, your celebrity canine might even have a couple of paw-printing appearances with Fresno State fans and media.
The lucky bulldog owner makes out like a bandit. Our winner's owner will receive four (4) season tickets to 2006 Fresno State football, the use of a party suite for one mutually agreed men's basketball home game during the 2006-07 season and a $100 gift certificate to The Bulldog Shop. Pretty good chow for a Bulldog.
It'll be a morning of canine capers to remember on Saturday, Aug. 5 when the Valley's best bulldog bloodlines strut their stuff at the "Bulldog Bash."
