Auction No. 3 Winner: Kaye Kadalak Of Visalia
7/21/2006 12:00:00 AM | Football
Kaye Kadalak of Visalia was the winning bidder of the third fan experience auction item scheduled to be featured on www.gobulldogs.com during the 100 Days to Bulldog Football countdown.
An avid Bulldog fan, Kadalak's winning bid of $200 gives him the opportunity to experience "Bulldog Broadcasts Behind The Scenes" during Fresno State's contest against Colorado State on Sept. 30.
Kadalak, 48, receives an up-close and personal, behind the scenes tour of Fresno State Football on radio, television and videoboard. He will be personally escorted on a pregame and first quarter tour of the television and videoboard production trucks, meeting the producer, director and technical crew who get the action from the field to the screen.
He will also visit the radio and TV broadcast booths, meeting the broadcast voices of Bulldog football, such as Bill Woodward of KMJ and Ralph Wood of KMPH/KFRE. Following the tour, Kadalak and a guest will join the crowd in the stands to watch the Bulldogs square off against the Rams.
Kadalak recently visited with the staff of www.gobulldogs.com.
gobulldogs.com: Who are your favorite Bulldog football players (current or former)?
Kaye Kadalak: Jamal Jones and Kyle Goodman. I would tell my friends, 'watch that kid Goodman from Clovis. He's a human missile on kickoff returns.'
gobulldogs.com: What home game are you most looking forward to this year (other than Colorado State on Sept. 30)?
Kaye Kadalak: I would say Nevada in the season opener. That game is going to set the tone for the rest of the year.
gobulldogs.com: Do you have a gameday ritual (pregame, postgame, etc.) when attending a Bulldog football game?
Kaye Kadalak: I usually tailgate with a couple hundred people from the South Valley Dairy group over by the practice field. We've been doing that for the past three years. After the game, drive home and listen to Dog Talk on KMJ just like everyone else.
gobulldogs.com: Which team would you most like to see visit Bulldog Stadium?
Kaye Kadalak: How about Notre Dame or Michigan? Those are perennial powers that would be fun to watch.
gobulldogs.com: What is your favorite Bulldog football memory?
Kaye Kadalak: I really enjoyed the win over Kansas State in 2004. We went in there and just wiped them out physically. I was at that game in person and that was also a fun road trip.
