Earlier this week, head coach Pat Hill joined members of the Fresno State athletic department to begin production of a new electronic football advertising campaign for the 2006 season.
The campaign will be introduced on the all-new www.gobulldogs.com, which is scheduled to launch in early August. After the initial web viewing, these commercials will air on local television stations.
These ads feature an 11-year-old actor, Wyatt Matson, who plays the role of a Fresno State coach promoting Bulldog football.
"It was fun working with Coach Hill," Matson said. "It got me pumped up and he did a good job of portraying himself. It was a blast."
The light-hearted spots showcase a human and humorous spin-off of Hill, as Matson demonstrates the promotional aspects of being a head coach.
"These ads have a unique and different feel," said Hill. "I think the viewers will have fun with them. I know I had a good time working on this production."
The second of the two spots was shot in Bulldog Stadium, with four Fresno State football players preparing Matson for an urgent meeting with Hill. Featured in the spot are senior wide receivers Joe Fernandez and Paul Williams, senior linebacker Dwayne Andrews and senior cornerback Marcus McCauley.
