FRESNO, Calif. - Three members of the Fresno State women's tennis team finished competition at the Saint Mary's Invitational on Sunday in Moraga, Calif. After the first day was rained out on Friday, the tournament finally got underway on Saturday.
Junior Danon Beatty got a win in the round of 32, defeating Svenja Arens of Pacific in the super-tiebreaker. Sophomore Vanessa Heroux also won in the round of 32, defeating Cal's Rachael Dillon 6-2, 3-6, (10-8).
Beatty and Heroux went 1-1 in doubles during the weekend. The duo beat Portland's Gullikson and Jenks 8-6, before falling to Gratian and Heinser of San Francisco 8-4 in the quarterfinals.
