Revel Named WAC Defensive Player of the Week

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State freshman goalkeeper Kaity Revel has been named WAC Defensive Player of the Week for her performances last week against league-leader Boise State and Idaho. Revel registered seven saves in the two weekend matches, allowing just one goal in the hard-fought 1-1 double overtime draw against Boise State.
Counting the Idaho match where she played all but six minutes, Revel has recorded eight shut shuts as the Bulldogs defeated Idaho 3-0 on Sunday.
"Kaity has played solid for us all year," Fresno State coach Steve Springthorpe said. "Her play in goal has helped our defense be one the top defenses in the conference. I am excited the conference has given her this honor."
Fresno State hosts Cal-State Bakersfield on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium and then closes out WAC play on Sunday at Nevada.
