Fresno State vs. Hawaii Game on ESPN2

FRESNO. Calif. - The Fresno State football team will have a fifth national television game in 2007 as ESPN announced today it is adding the Fresno State vs. Hawaii game on Nov. 10. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 beginning at 8 p.m. PT.
Originally scheduled to be only televised locally in the state of Hawaii and Fresno, Calif., the matchup will be seen by a national audience through an agreement with the respective schools and conference. ESPN2 will show the matchup, utilizing the production of Fresno State's Bulldog Sports Network, across the United States except in Hawaii and Fresno. The Bulldog fans in the Valley will see the game exclusively on KFRE CW 59 (Comcast Cable channel 5). Ralph Wood and Randy Rosenbloom will call the action from Honolulu's Aloha Stadium.
"We wanted to make sure the Bulldog fans in the Valley were able to see watch this game, our colleagues at the University of Hawaii and ESPN were instrumental in helping with this effort. It is also shows that the production quality produced by BSN is of high quality to provide rest of country with broadcast coverage," said Paul Ladwig, Associate Athletics Director at Fresno State.
It will be the 54th national broadcast for the Bulldogs this decade and the fifth this season, four of which are on ESPN. Three of Fresno State's final four games of the season will be on ESPN or ESPN2, including the Kansas State game at Bulldog Stadium on Nov. 24 and at New Mexico State on Friday, Nov. 30.
"We are thrilled to be airing the game between our Bulldogs and the Hawaii team...one that carries not only conference championship implications for both teams but also may determine a BCS berth," said Charles Pfaff, Senior Vice President and General Manager of KFRE CW 59 and KMPH FOX 26. "By offering the game via free, over-the-air broadcasting, it can be seen by the entire Fresno-Visalia market."
