Revel Earns WAC Defensive Player of the Week Honors

FRESNO, Calif. - For the second straight week Fresno State women's soccer player Kaity Revel has been named WAC Defensive Player of the Week. Last week, Revel recorded her league-leading eighth shutout of the season in a 2-0 blanking of non-conference foe Cal-State Bakersfield on Thursday. On Sunday she recorded six saves and registered an assist in a 3-1 conference win at Nevada. The freshman goalkeeper also set up Fresno State's third goal with a nice punt down the field.
For the week she had nine saves and a .90 goals allowed average.
Revel and the Bulldogs return to the field on Thursday for when they play Nevada in the opening round of the WAC tournament in Boise, Idaho. The winner of the match plays Boise State on Friday.
