KMJ to Broadcast 36 Baseball Games in 2008

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State and its flagship station KMJ Radio (580 AM), have announced the dates for the 2008 Baseball games to be aired. Paul Loeffler, from Channel 47, will once again be the voice behind the microphone and will broadcast 19 home games and 17 road games.
KMJ and Fresno State have been partnered for over 35 years as the station has covered numerous Bulldog sports over the years, including football, basketball and volleyball.
"Fresno State Athletics are a major part of the fabric of KMJ Radio," said Senior Vice President/General Manger Patty Hixson. "This relationship is important to the station, the University, and the community. We're very pleased to provide the best Bulldog coverage in the Central Valley and extend our best wishes to coach Batesole on a winning baseball season."
KMJ will broadcast eight of the 10 double-headers on this season's schedule. They will be at Beiden Field for the season opener (Feb. 22) against UC Davis. They will also broadcast home games against Indiana, Nevada, Louisiana Tech, Santa Clara, San Francisco, New Mexico State and San Jose State. Road trips they will travel on include: San Diego, Hawai'i, San Luis Obispo, Las Cruces, Reno and Sacramento.
"Having the tools to broadcast college baseball to promote the team and to develop the alumni and fan base is crucial to growing Fresno State Athletics and this baseball team," said Paul Ladwig, Associate Athletic Director for Broadcasting and External Relations. "We are pleased to continue this partnership with KMJ and have Bulldog baseball on the radio."
