Dogs Host Otters

FRESNO, Calif. - The Bulldogs have two games this week, returning home to host sister school Cal State Monterey Bay on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Save Mart Center and then hitting the road to play UNLV, the defending Mountain West Conference champion, Saturday at 7 p.m. That game will be played at the Orleans Arena instead of the Rebels' home court, the Thomas & Mack Center. Fresno State's home game is just one of three in the month of December for the Bulldogs, who won't return to the Save Mart Center until Dec. 20 after Wednesday.

Fresno State wants to thank to the greatest fans in the Valley.Tickets for the Fresno State men's basketball game against Cal State Monterey Bay are only $2 for adults and $1 dollar for youth ages eighteen and under! All Fresno State students can pick up their FREE tickets at the University Student Union.
Children With Cancer Holiday Party
Fresno State's men's and women's basketball coaching staffs and student-athletes will host approximately 60 families on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 6 p.m. at the Save Mart Center for the innaugural Children with Cancer Holiday Party. The invited families have children with cancer who are being treated at Children's Hospital Central California. Steve Cleveland and Adrian Wiggins and their wives shopped this week buying toys for nearly 140 children. Both men's and women's teams will be on hand, hosting a dinner party with the families, playing games with the children and distributing toys. Santa Claus and Fresno State mascot Timeout will be there will both make an appearance at the party. This is a private function for members of the family only. The media is welcome to cover the event.
Scouting the Otters
The Otters and Bulldogs will meet for the first time, as the Division II program was a late addition to the 2007-08 schedule. CSU Monterey Bay is coached by Pat Kosta, who is 13-21 in his second season. The Otters are 1-6 this season and 0-3 in road games. Jacob Kernodle, at 6-7, is the tallest player on the roster. Augie Johnston scored 18 points in their last game, a 77-66 loss at Cal Poly Pomona. This will be the only Division I opponent on the schedule for the Otters this season, who dropped two exhibition games to Santa Clara and San Diego.
