Bulldogs Rained Out Versus Pacific

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State men's tennis team was forced to cancel its match against Pacific after rain fell at the Wathen Tennis Center Sunday afternoon. Originally scheduled as a doubleheader, the first match got underway and three sinles matches were completed. But for the third time this season, the Bulldogs had to cancel due to rain.
Three matches went completed while the other three remained in progress when the rain fell.
Senior Charles Irie beat Pedro Toledo 6-2, 6-0 at the No. 4 spot. Freshman Mirko Zapletal beat Alan Kelly 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 3 spot and sophomore Rudolf Siwy won 6-1, 6-3 over Vegerd Veskimagi playing in the No. 2 slot.
Senior Jakub Cech, sophomore Greg Jackson and freshman Taylor Leiby all had their matches stopped before completion.
Fresno State had its match against Pepperdine and Nebraska cancelled already this season because of rain.
The 'Dogs next host North Carolina State at home on March 9 in the Wathen Tennis Center at 5 p.m.
