Shopley has had five top 15 finishes out of the six tournaments Fresno State had competed in this year.

FRESNO, Calif. - Sophomore Jennifer Shipley was named the WAC Golfer of the Week for the week of February 26-March 4. She earned the honor after her performance at the Kitahara Fresno State Invitational at the Copper River Country Club in Fresno, Calif.

A Clovis native (Clovis HS), Shipley tied for third place at the host tournament held on Feb. 26-27. Shipley shot a 4-over 148 (76-72) to lead her team and win their own tournament. She finished two strokes behind the winner. This marks her third top five finish of the year.

Shipley has also received WAC Golfer of the Month for the month of September after another third place finish at the Ptarmigan Ram.

Shipley is currently leading Fresno State at the UNLV Spring Invitational. After two rounds she was tied for seventh shooting 3-under par and is contention to win the tournament title. The third round concludes Wednesday.
