| Sophomore Melanie Gloria has been named the Toyota/gobulldogs.com Athlete of the Week for the week of April 2. It is the second time this year Gloria has earned the honor. Gloria had a dominating week, as the Bulldogs went 3-0 March 26-April 1. Gloria won all six of her matches, three in singles and three in doubles to complete the perfect week. Gloria's best win came in a 6-3, 6-1 victory over No. 35 Monica Milewski of Colorado. Gloria never allowed an opponent to win more than three games during the stretch. She has also won 12 straight in singles and eight straight in doubles with teammate Tinesta Rowe. Also nominated: Ryan Moore (Men's Track and Field), Katie Richardson (Women's Track and Field), Haley Perkins (Softball), Loren Storey (Baseball).
