Webb Sixth at NCAA Championships

FRESNO. Calif. - For the third time in her career, Mallory Webb earned All-America honors.
Webb, a senior from Dundee, Ore., placed sixth at the 2007 NCAA Championship meet in Sacramento with a throw of 169 feet 9 inches in the javelin. The NCAA Championship meet concludes Saturday.
Webb had her best toss of the day on her third throw. She entered Saturday's finals with the second-best throw in the championship field, setting personal record of 170 feet 4 inches.
Purdue's Lindsey Blaine won the event with a throw of 182-03.
By placing sixth, she scored three team points for the Bulldog women's team. She was one of two Fresno State student-athletes to qualify for the NCAA Championship event. Katie Richardson qualified in the discus but failed to advance to the finals after finishing in 16th place after the preliminary round.
Webb finishes her career ranked among the top throwers in school history. She was an All-American in her freshman and junior seasons.
