FRESNO, Calif. - Since arriving at Fresno State, Nicole Gutierrez has been an offensive threat. She currently has 23 points in just over two years of wearing the Bulldog uniform. That mark is good for fourth all-time in Fresno State history.

Favorite memory at Fresno State: Outside winning the WAC championships, scoring the game-winning goal against Boise State my freshman year in double overtime. I've never had a golden goal. It was really exciting.
How did I spend my off season?: Working out with Moses Cabrera (Fresno State assistant strength and conditioning coach) and working for AT&T selling phones.
What is playing on my IPOD?: Old school Mo-Town music. My favorite song is Holding Back the Ears by Angie Stone.
I can't leave my apartment without my: Cell phone
Before a soccer match I: say a pray to myself and listen to a speech from the movie Any Given Sunday by Al Pacino called "Peace With Inches."
Favorite Movie: Remember the Titans
If you were telling a recruit why they should come to Fresno State what would you tell them?: The people you meet here will make it great. We have good team chemistry and camaraderie on the team. That is the link that got me here.
What is the trick to scoring goals?: The night before the match I have a mindset that I have to score. It's all about mentally preparing myself.
When did you start playing soccer and why do you enjoy it so much: I was nine years old. I have so much passion for the game. The game just lives within me.
"Join the State - Fresno State!" - The Fresno State Soccer team will be on the road the next two games, playing at UC Riverside on Friday, September 21 and Loyola Marymount on Sunday, September 23. The next soccer home game is Friday, September 28 against UTEP at 7 p.m. All kids who attended the Fresno State Soccer summer camp can wear their camp t-shirt for free admission to all regular season soccer home games in 2007. Tickets are available at the Bulldog Ticket Office or by phone at 559-278-DOGS.
