Fresno State Golf Swings into Action

FRESNO, Calif. - With school back in session, Fresno State golf also swings back into action with practices beginning this week. The spring season tournaments will begin in February for both teams.
The women's golf team will kick off the season with its annual home tournament at Copper River Country Club Feb. 25-26. This marks the Bulldogs fourth Kitahara Fresno State Invitational. The `Dogs have captured two of the three titles for their home tournament.
The women's WAC tournament will also be held in Fresno at the Sunnyside Country Club April 21-23. With two home tournaments in Fresno, the Bulldogs are excited to begin practice concentrating on the two courses they will host at.
"The team is excited to start our spring season," head coach Angie Cates said. "We learned a lot from our fall tournaments and we know where the improvements need to be made. We have adjusted our practice routines a little bit and look forward to seeing lower scores this spring. We are thrilled to be defending our title at the Kitahara Fresno State Invitational and look forward to bringing the conference championship to Sunnyside in April."
