Eight Straight and Counting
The Bulldogs current eight game win streak is the second longest win streak in school history. Fresno State is one of 17 teams in the country that boasts a win streak of eight or more. The Dogs need one more win to tie the school record of nine wins.
Closing in Win No. 100
Bulldog coach Adrian Wiggins is one win away from earning his 100th win of his coaching career. He is 99-50 overall and boasts a .664 winning percentage. His first ever win as a head coach was a 70-66 victory over Drury University, when Wiggins coached at Cameron University. Wiggins has the best winning percentage in Fresno State history at .641. He is currently 59-33 in his three plus seasons as head coach.
Three's a Charm
Fresno State has shot more 3-pointers than any school in the WAC this year with 398 attempts. At the rate in which the Bulldogs are shooting from beyond the arc, they are on pace to break the school record for most 3-pointers in a season. The single season record is 561 attempts back in the 2002-03 season. That year they also set a school record by making 166 three's. The school record for the best 3-point percentage is 39.5 in the 1989-90 season.
Already this year Fresno State has connected on 133 of 398 attempts while shooting 33.4 percent. The 133 trey's puts Fresno State in 12th place in the NCAA for 3-pointers made per game. They have shot over 50 percent or better in two games this year. Against Sacramento State the Dogs were 10-20 and against Cal-State Northridge they were 10-for-17 (58.8%).
Scoring Machine
Since the end of last season Tierre Wilson has scored in double figures in 29 straight games. Prior to her career high of 28 points against Long Beach State, Wilson's high point performance during the 29 game stretch was 23 points at Loyola Marymount on December 5, 2007.
Give Me 3
Bailey Amundsen has hit a 3-pointer in 10 straight games while her teammate Jaleesa Ross has nailed a three in eight straight games. Ross has scored in double figures in six straight games.
1,000 Points
Tierre Wilson's 10 points against Cal-State Bakersfield put her over the 1,000 point mark for career. She currently has 1,144 points. She has increased her averaged each year. As a freshman she averaged 5.3 points then as a sophomore she upped her average to 11.2 points a game. As a junior she netted 14.4 points and in the first seven games of this season she is averaging 16.8 points a game. Wilson needs 8 points to break into the top 10 career leaders for total points.
