Revel Named WAC Defensive Player of the Week

FRESNO, Calif. - Goalkeeper Kaitlyn Revel was named WAC Defensive Player for the week of Sept. 29 - Oct. 5.
This marks the third time in her career that Revel has garnered Player of the Week honor and the second time in as many weeks that a Fresno State player has won the award.
"Kaitlyn had a very good weekend," said coach Steve Springthorpe. "She made some great saves in the game against Oregon State and followed up that game with another solid performance against Portland State. It is always a great honor for one of our players to be selected as a player of the week for the conference."
Revel recorded her fourth shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over Portland State to help the Bulldogs move to 4-7-1 on the season. The sophomore was not shaken as she saved seven shots to secure at 1-1 tie at Oregon State.
She allowed just one goal while making an impressive 12 saves over the weekend.
