Bulldogs in First after Round One

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State men's golf team started the CSU San Marcos Invitational off in first place out of 18-teams after round one. The Bulldogs shot a round of 294 finishing three strokes ahead of CSU East Bay (297). Point Loma Nazarene and the host CSU San Macos are tied for third with 300.
Grant Doverspike shot the low round today of 70 to put him in first place after round one. Todd Angel shot an even 72 to tie for fourth followed by Matt Ryan and Michael Gideon who both shot 76 to tie for 21st place. Brad Wyatt shot a 70 to tie for 29th place.
With round two underway, the Bulldogs and the rest of the field will be unable to complete the round until Tuesday morning. Although the round is not complete, the Bulldogs remain strong. So far through the second Doverspike is 5-under after 13-holes. Matt Ryan is 2-under and Brad Wyatt is 1-under par with five holes to go in the second.
