Siebert Named WAC Golfer of the Week

FRESNO, Calif. - Junior Taylor Siebert earned Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week for the week of Feb. 25- March 2. This marks Sieberts first WAC honor of the season.
Siebert earned the honor after clinching her first collegiate title at Fresno State's own Kitahara Invitational that was held on Feb. 25-26. The Selma native shot an even-par 144 (73-71). On the final hole, Siebert made a birdie putt to break a five-way tie for first place. The 18th hole played the hardest of the tournament, and Siebert was the only player to birdie the hole over the two days. The Bulldogs finished in a tie for sixth place with Hawai`i in the tournament, the best finish of the five WAC teams competing in the event.
The Fresno State women's golf team will finish up at the Spartan Invitational on March 4 before heading to the 2008 UNLV Invitational on March 10-12.
