Fresno State infielder Alan Ahmady has been named the Toyota/Gobulldogs.com Player of the Week on April 1. Ahmady was named National Player of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and earned WAC Hitter of the Week honors. Ahmady, a sophomore from Fresno, Calif., hit .583 with 14 hits, eight runs scored, six doubles, three home runs, and 14 RBI as Fresno State went 5-1 last week. In four conference games against Nevada, he hit .600 in 15 at bats with three homers and 10 RBI. He also scored seven runs and had a slugging percentage of 1.467 during the four games against the Pack. Also nominated was 2007-08 Athletes of the Week:
