TULSA, Okla -- The 16th-seeded Fresno State women's tennis team will take on No. 1 Northwestern in the Round of 16 at the NCAA Tournament Thursday, May 15 at 10 a.m. PST in Tulsa, Okla. California vs. Duke will also take place at that time. The weather forecast predicts a 50 percent chance of showers for Thursday morning and if there is a rain delay, Frenso State's match will take place immediately following the two early matches of Stanford vs. Clemson and Baylor vs. Miami (Fla.)
The Bulldogs opened the 2008 dual match season against Northwestern, falling 4-1 to the Wildcats in the first round of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Team Indoor Championships.
"We played them tough early this season," said head coach Simon Thibodeau. "I think this is a good match up for us. There are no easy teams here."
The matches will be broadcast online from The University of Tulsa's website at Tulsahurricane.com.
