Three Bulldogs Earn a Spot in ITA All-American Championship

Fresno, Calif. - Three members of the Fresno State men's tennis team have been selected to play in the ITA All-American Championship in Tulsa, Okla. The tournament begins with prequalifying matches on Oct. 3 and runs through Oct. 12. The tournament is composed of the nation's top players selected by a committee based on ranking and individual achievement.
The three Bulldogs selected include Rudolf Siwy, Mirko Zapletal, and Tejesvi Veerepalli.
All three Fresno State players will comepte in the singles qualifying tournament. However, Siwy has also earned a spot as an alternate in the main draw.
Siwy competed in last year's All-American Championship. He went 3-0 in the qualifying tournament to earn a spot in the main draw, before dropping a consolation round match to Raoul Schwark of Minnesota.
Siwy and Zapletal, will also partner up to play in the doubles qualifying tournament.
The Bulldogs begin practice for the Fall season on Sept. 3.
