"We look forward to playing Seattle University this Friday. They have played 4 other schools in the WAC coming into this game and have had good results," said Coach Steve Springthorpe. "So we know we will be in a tough battle and will have to play well to get a result."
Sunday the Bulldogs face a familiar opponent as they take on Sacramento State. The Bulldogs lead the series 8-3, but the Hornets are on a one game winning streak after the defeated the `Dogs last year, 5-1. The Hornets are 6-4-1 after eleven non-conference games.
"Last year Sac State took it to us and beat us soundly at their place," said Springthorpe. "I would expect that our team will look forward to getting the opportunity to play again and showing we are better than how we performed last year. I look forward to seeing how we respond after our disappointing 2 losses this past weekend."
The Bulldogs (2-6) are coming off a tough weekend of competition at the Colorado Classic. The `Dogs lost to Denver and No. 21 Colorado. Ali Sill and Molly Nizzoli scored against Denver, but it wasn't enough as the Bulldogs fell 3-2 in overtime. Sill scored the lone goal against Colorado in 4-1 loss.
