Meet the Team: Nick Hom

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State infielder, Nick Hom, helped Bulldog Baseball earn their first National Title. Hom played in 19 games and started four during his first season with the `Dogs. Hom recorded three doubles, four RBIs, and a batting average of .214. Hom sat down with gobulldogs.com and answered some questions.
GB: Why did you choose Fresno State?
NH: Fresno State has a solid baseball program with a good background and it is a good school.
GB: When did you start playing baseball? Why?
NH: I started playing when I was young because all my friends were playing.
GB: Who is the best team that you have faced?
NH: North Carolina, they were an all-around good team with solid pitching and hitting.
GB: What is your pre-game ritual?
NH: Before every game I listen to the Tracy Lawrence greatest hits.
GB: Who is your sports hero?
NH: Chris Hom, my brother, because without him I wouldn't know half as much as I do about baseball.
GB: What has been the highlight of your baseball career?
NH: Winning the College World Series.
GB: What is something most people don't know about you?
NH: I am scared of heights.
GB: What is currently playing on your ipod?
NH: Country, Rap, Techno, Rock, you name it and I'll play it.
GB: When you aren't playing baseball you are...
NH: Hanging out with friends, fishing, or playing Tiger Woods Golf or Guitar Hero.
GB: What Favorite Food?
NH: Orange Chicken
GB: What is your favorite television show?
NH: Family Guy
