`Dogs Jump Back into Competition

FRESNO, Calif.--The women's golf team will be traveling to Colorado for the 2009 Heather Farr Tournament, which will take place at the par-72, 7,676-yard Colorado National Golf Club. The tournament will have an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on both days. On Monday, teams will play thru 36-holes and conclude with 18 on the following day.
Last fall the `Dogs finished tied for ninth out of a 20-team field. Hali Coppin and Lindi Covarrubias shot 72-hole totals of 244(224/+8) to finish tied for 36th. Chelsea Czinski shot two solid rounds of 72 to finish tied for 47th place. Pia Escandon (232/+16) tied for 69th place.
The 2009 Field includes Nebraska, Gonzaga, Notre Dame, Portland State, Long Beach, Hawai'i, Colo¬rado, Texas State, SMU, Colorado State, Nevada, Wyoming, Eastern Washington, Montana State, Weber State, Fresno State, Northern Colorado, Texas Tech, San Diego State and Denver.
The Bulldog lineup consists of Lindi Covarrubias, Hali Coppin, Louisa Lies, Pia Escandon and Shaylee Yano.
