Running back Ryan Mathews, the national rushing leader, and offensive guard Andrew Jackson, one of the key figures in Fresno State's offensive success, were named second-team midseason All-America.
The two first team backs ahead of Mathews are from teams that have been ranked in the Top 5 this season, Mark Ingram from Alabama and Ryan Williams from Virginia Tech.
Mathews joined Dion Lewis from Pittsburgh and Florida quarterback Tim Tebow in the backfield on the second team. He leads the NCAA in rushing with 974 yards with a 7.4 yards per carry average.
Jackson, a second-team All-WAC pick in 2008, was a consensus preseason All-WAC selection entering his junior season.
The Bulldog offense ranks third in the nation in rushing yards, 279.7 yards, and 36.5 point per game, which is 10th in the nation.
