Luczak Achieves New High

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State alumnus Peter Luczak reached a career-high No. 66 singles world ranking in the lastest ATP Tennis rankings released on Monday.
Luczak jumped three spots from his previous ranking of No. 69. He's been ranked in the Top 100 since Aug. 10, 2009.
In his most recent action, the native of Warsaw, Poland, reached the quarterfinals of the Napli-2 tournament in Italy. Luczak defeated Daniel Brands of Germany and Filippo Volandri of Italy before dropping a three-set decision to Adrian Ungur of Romania.
His doubles ranking is highest it has been in nearly seven years. He currently is ranked 131st and his career-high ranking is No. 129, on Nov. 18, 2002.
Luczak competed for the Bulldogs from 1998-01 and is Fresno State career wins leader with 109 victories.
