Wonderdogs Set to Hold Book Signing

FRESNO, Calif. - Just in time for the Holiday season the Bulldog Shop will hold another Underdogs to Wonderdogs book signing on Dec. 9 from 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Author Paul Loeffler and head coach Mike Batesole will be on hand to sign copies of the book depicting the Bulldogs magical 2008 season.
Also appearing at the Bulldogs Shop is former Fresno State slugger, Tom Mendonca. Mendonca was the 2008 College World Series Most Outstanding Player and is the Bulldogs all-time home run leader. He was drafted in the second round of the 2009 Major League Draft by the Texas Rangers and will go down as one of the best third baseman in Fresno State history.
"The 2008 College World Series and the Bulldog victory is still on the minds of many here in the valley," said Associate Athletics Director of External Relations Paul Ladwig. "We wanted to bring the author, the head coach and one the stars together one more time to make sure your copy of the book is signed, or to purchase your copy of the book. This is a wonderful holiday treat for all of our baseball fans."
Customers who purchase a copy of Underdogs to Wonderdogs during the event will receive a free voucher for two tickets to the Fresno State vs. North Dakota State men's basketball game on December 19 and two tickets to the Saturday or Sunday game of the 2010 Fresno State Baseball home-opening series against Nebraska.
"We Are Your Team"- Fresno State baseball kicks off the 2010 season with the annual alumni game on Feb. 13. Then the Bulldogs host Nebraska for opening weekend Feb. 19-22.
