FRESNO, Calif. - No. 47 Indiana visits the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center on Tuesday at 3 p.m. to take on No. 42 Fresno State for the first time in 18 years.
The Bulldogs enter the match with a 6-4 record, winning two of their last three matches and look to build upon that success. Fresno State should be well-rested after having a week and a half since their last match.
Indiana has also been hot as of late. The Hoosiers are 9-7 and have won four-straight matches, including wins over No. 28 Wisconsin and No. 54 Northwestern.
This will be the third meeting between the Hoosiers and Bulldogs, and the first time since 1991. Fresno State won both of the previous matches, 5-4 in 1986 and 6-2 in 1991.
Bulldog senior and defending WAC Player of the Year Rudolf Siwy is ranked 44th nationally in singles and 47th in doubles, along with partner Mirko Zapletal.
After the match with Indiana, the Bulldogs will fly to Montgomery, Ala. to participate in the Blue-Gray Tennis Classic from March 19-22. The Blue-Gray is a dual match tournament that features 16 ranked teams, including four ranked in the Top 25.
