This is the second time in his three-year career he has earned the WAC Track Athlete of the Week award.
Sanders, the defending WAC Champion in the 1,500, timed a 3:46.77 to take sixth and mark a personal-best. He bettered his career best by more than a second to ensure his postseason bid.
