Siwy Named WAC Player of the Week

FRESNO, Calif. - The Western Athletic Conference announced Fresno State senior Rudolf Siwy as the WAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday for the week of March 2-8.
Siwy, along with partner Mirko Zapletal, scored a major upset by knocking off Pepperdine's eighth-ranked doubles team of Bassam Beidas and Omar Altmann, 8-6. The senior from Trinec, Czech Republic also picked up a 7-6, 6-1 win in singles over UNLV's Elliot Wronski.
Siwy is the second Bulldog in a row to win the WAC Player of the Week honors. Last week freshman Remi Boutillier won the award.
