'Dogs Finish Regular Season

FRESNO, Calif. - This weekend, the No. 15 Fresno State women's tennis team has a chance to cap off a complete sweep of the WAC, when it travels to Las Cruces, N.M., for its final three regular season matches against Hawai'i, Idaho and No. 36 Boise State.
Not only are the Bulldogs 5-0 in the WAC, but they swept each of those matches, 7-0, against San Jose State, Nevada, Louisiana Tech, Utah State and New Mexico State.
Fresno State is 16-7 overall on the season, and has won 13 of its last 14 matches, including a current seven-match winning streak.
The Bulldogs start the weekend against Hawai'i on Friday at 9 a.m. PT. The Rainbow Wahine are 10-11 on the season, with a 2-2 conference record. Hawai'i has won two of its last three matches.
Fresno State is 11-1 all time against Hawai'i and has won the last nine meetings. The last meeting was a 7-0 shutout for the Bulldogs on April 12, 2008.
Later that day, Fresno State meets up with Idaho at 1 p.m. PT. The Vandals are 19-6 on the year and have won five of their last six matches. At one point during the season, Idaho had an 11-match winning streak.
The 'Dogs have never lost in seven meetings with the Vandals. The last match resulted in a 4-0 Bulldog shutout in 2007.
The Bulldogs finish the weekend and the regular season off against Boise State. The Broncos are 20-2 overall, 6-0 in the WAC and are led by No. 81 Pichittra Thongdach.
Fresno State has not lost to Boise State since 1995, and is 9-1 all time against the Broncos. The last meeting was a 4-1 Bulldog victory in the 2008 WAC Championship on April 26, 2008.
After these three matches, the Bulldogs head to Honolulu, Hawai'i for the 2009 WAC Tournament from April 23-25.
