Vivas Named WAC Hitter of the Week

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State shortstop Isacc Vivas was named the Western Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week, for May 11-17.
Vivas, a junior from Fresno, Calif. (McLane HS), helped the Bulldogs to a four-game sweep on the road against Sacramento State last week. Vivas batted .615 (8-for-13) with six runs scored, four doubles, one home run, one RBI, two walks and a stolen base.
Vivas also helped Fresno State turn several key double plays during the week and had a perfect fielding percentage. His home run in the series finale proved to be the game-winning run in a 7-6 victory.
No. 3 seed Fresno State takes on No. 4 seed New Mexico State in the WAC Tournament on Thursday, May 21 at 6 pm PT.
