Siwy Earns Academic All-District Honors

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State senior Rudolf Siwy earned ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District VII honors for his performance in the classroom and on the court during the 2008-09 school year.
Siwy, a geology major, accumulated a 3.75 GPA during his college career. He was also a WAC All-Academic honoree.
On the court, Siwy was a First Team All-WAC selection for the second-straight season and earned an invite to the 2009 NCAA Singles Tournament. In 2008, he was the WAC Player of the Year and he ends his career at Fresno State as No. 13 on the career wins list with 80.
Other WAC selections include Nevada's Andrew Hickey and Gregory Berger-Sabbatel and Boise State's Clancy Shields were also named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District team.
