On Monday, August 3, single-game tickets and mini plans will be on sale at the Bulldog Ticket Office or by calling 559-278-DOGS. Ticket prices in the bench areas range from $25 to $50 depending on the opponent. Bench seating for Boise State is $50.
Bulldog Foundation members can begin purchasing single-game Premium seats on Saturday, August 1. If seats are available on August 8, the general public can begin purchasing single-game Premium tickets online only.
There are two new mini plans on sale in the Premium seating areas that are located directly behind the Bulldog team bench. The 3-Game Premium plan is $120 and the 2-Game Premium plan is $100. Each plan allows the customer to choose from any of the five home games and includes a cushion chair back on each seat. These new mini plans will also be available online beginning August 1.
Fans are encouraged to take advantage of Print-at-Home technology.
Fresno State opens the season at Bulldog Stadium on September 5 against UC Davis at 7 p.m. The UC Davis game has been designated as Football Fiesta Night with one of the largest tributes to the Hispanic community ever on the Fresno State campus. Plenty of activities are planned for the Football Fiesta, including pre-game festivities at Bulldog Boulevard.
The Dogs returns several key players from a team that made its ninth bowl appearance in the last 10 seasons. Among those are electrifying running backs Ryan Mathews and Lonyae Miller, big-play receivers Chastin West, Marlon Moore and Seyi Ajirotutu and All-WAC defensive standouts Chris Carter, Ben Jacobs and Moses Harris. According to Phil Steele's College Football Preview magazine, the Dogs will be loaded on offense, with the WAC's top group of receivers, second-best running backs unit and third-best offensive line.
On defense, Steele predicts the Dogs' linebacking corps ranks second and Fresno State's special teams unit, which returns kicker Kevin Goessling and punter Robert Malone, will again be among the best in the WAC. The Dogs return four players (West, Moore, A.J. Jefferson and Rashad Evans) who scored touchdowns on returns last season, which is an impressive stat considering 72 Division I FBS team didn't have a single touchdown on kickoff returns last season. Jefferson is the NCAA's career active kick return specialist with nearly 30-yards per return.
Leading the defense will be Jacobs, a junior and two-year starter who has a team-high 113 tackles in 2008. Carter and Harris were close behind and will be vocal and emotional leaders for the Dogs on defense again this season.
