FRESNO, Calif. - Bianca Lopez is one of four freshman on the Fresno State women's soccer team this season. She has already played in two games and got her first collegiate start against Long Beach State on Aug. 23. Lopez sat down with gobulldogs.com and answered a few questions.
GoBulldogs.com: When and why did you start playing soccer?
Bianca Lopez: I started playing soccer when I was six years-old, like most little kids. My older cousins were more competitive, so it stuck with me.
GoBulldogs.com: Why did you chose Fresno State?
Bianca Lopez: It is close to home and it's a good school/ soccer program!
GoBulldogs.com: What is your biggest soccer achievement?
Bianca Lopez: Being able to compete and play Division-I soccer.
GoBulldogs.com: What's your most embarrassing sports moment?
Bianca Lopez: In high school, we were playing an easy game winning, 13-0, and I was put in defense. I tried to juke a forward and she stole it and they scored!
GoBulldogs.com: What are you doing when you aren't on the soccer field?
Bianca Lopez:Relaxing, hanging out with family, friends and doing school work.
GoBulldogs.com: What is your game day routine?
Bianca Lopez: Doing nothing too strenuous on my body and keeping hydrated and eating proper.
GoBulldogs.com: What are you plans after college?
Bianca Lopez: I want to go to medical school and pursue a medical career.
GoBulldogs.com: What is the best advice you have received?
Bianca Lopez: "You practice just like you play."
GoBulldogs.com: If Hollywood were to make a movie about you, which actress would play you? ?
Bianca Lopez:Jennifer Lopez just because we have the same last name and a lot of people joke about us being related.
GoBulldogs.com: If you were to win a million dollars what would be the first thing you'd buy?
Bianca Lopez:A house and a car!
GoBulldogs.com: What is playing on your iPod?
Bianca Lopez: Whatever my mood is at the time.
GoBulldogs.com: Who has influenced you the most?
Bianca Lopez: My parents because they support me in everything I do.
GoBulldogs.com: What is your favorite thing about Fresno State soccer?
Bianca Lopez: The environment and my teammates.
GoBulldogs.com: Who is sports hero?
Bianca Lopez: Cristiano Renaldo because of his hard work on and off the field.
