Alumni Game and Double Play Dinner Dates Set

FRESNO, Calif. - With spring right around the corner and the new semester beginning this week, the Fresno State baseball team is gearing up for the 2010 season. The Bulldogs will kick off the season with the annual golf tournament and Double Play Dinner on Feb. 12. Bulldogs from the past and present will meet at Beiden field for the Alumni Game on Feb. 13.
"We know we are getting close when our golf tournament, Double Play Dinner and Alumni Game roll around," said head coach Mike Batesole. "It's always one of the most fun weekends of the year - a time to hand out our Championship rings from the 2009 season and a time to get excited about 2010."
The weekend kicks off with the annual Golf Classic on Friday, Feb. 12 at the Table Mountain Rancheria Golf and Country Club. The cost of participation is $185 that includes golf, food and lots of prizes.
The 23rd annual Double Play Dinner is Friday, Feb. 12 at 7:35 p.m. This year the dinner will be held at the Clovis Memorial Building and social hour begins at 6 p.m. At the dinner there will be a live and silent auction.
The Double Play Dinner is also one of the first chances to meet the 2010 Bulldogs. The deadline to make reservations for the dinner is Feb. 5.
The weekend will conclude with the Alumni Scrimmage and BBQ on Saturday, Feb. 13 starting at 2:05 p.m. Former Bulldogs will return to Beiden Field to take on the 2010 team.

"We Are Your Team" - The `Dogs begin the quest for their fifth consecutive WAC title and NCAA Tournament berth Friday, February 19, at 6 p.m. as they welcome the Nebraska Cornhuskers to Beiden Field. Season tickets are available and can be purchased through the Bulldog Ticket Office, gobulldogs.com or by calling 278-DOGS.
