Bulldog Classic Concludes Second Day

FRESNO, Calif. - Finishing two rounds today at Fresno City College, Fresno State teammates Jean-Charles Diame and David Ayoun will compete for the Singles A Flight championship.

Diame advanced to the championship round after defeating Wessim Derbel from Nevada, 7-6; 7-6 in the quarterfinal round.
He earned another victory in the semifinal round when he fought for the win against UCSB's Mathieu Forget, 4-6; 7-6; 6-1.
Ayoun has played a fierce game since the start of the Classic. After defeating Drew Jacobs from Cal Poly, 1-6; 6-4; 6-3, he advanced to the semifinal round where he meets up with fellow teammate Siddarth Alapati. After going three matches, Ayoun took the win, 1-6; 6-4; 6-3.
Sophomore Sebastian Hafner is competing in the final round tomorrow against Cal Poly's Jordan Kepler in the Flight B Consolation bracket. After having a bye in the semifinal round, Hafner defeated Aswin Kolady from Fresno City, 6-1; 6-1, in the semifinal round.
The Bulldog Classic will return to the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
