FRESNO, Calif. - Bulldogs Ready To Compete In Santa Clara Invitational The `Dogs leave for San Jose, California this weekend to compete in the 2010 Santa Clara Invitational on October 25-26. The other teams competing in this tournament are Boston College, CSU Fullerton, University of Nevada, UC Riverside, University of British Columbia, and Santa Clara University. They recently returned from the Heather Farr/University of Colorado Memorial where they placed third out of 11 teams. This has been their best finish so far this season. Junior Louisa Lies finished in third place individually at the tournament which was her best finish this season. Head coach Angie Cates-Moore is very pleased with the amount of progress her team has made in a very short amount of time.

Louisa Lies (Jr.): Golf World Magazine National Player of the Week after winning the Hawaii Thompson Invitational ... shot a career low of 66 at Hawaii, second lowest score in the WAC in 2010 ... Competed in all ten tournaments played last season with a best finish of the year was a tie for second place at the WAC Championships with rounds of 70-73-74 ... averaged 76.48 stokes per round ... had a team high of 56 birdies ... shot a low round of 70, which is the lowest on the team ... tied for eighth place in the 2010 Ptarmigan/Ram Fall Classic ... finished in third place at the 2010 Heather Farr/ University of Colorado Memorial.
Chelsea Czinski (Sr.): Tied for 19th at the Thompson Invitaional, her best performance of the season ... competed in nine tournaments ... best fi nish of the year came at the Giustina Memorial where she tied for 13th ... shot a low round of 71 at Oregon State and also had a record 24 putts ... averaged 79.38 per round ... had 32 birdies ... ranked 14th in the country for hitting the most fairways ... earned teams Most Improved Award ... fi nished in 13th place at the 2010 Rose City Collegiate tournament.
Shaylee Yano (So.): Played in fi ve tournaments last season ... shot a low round of 76 ... had 16 birdies ... ranked third on the team for most fairways ... this will be her second season playing for the Bulldogs ... opened the 2010 season with her best collegiate fi nish and hit eight birdies at the 2010 Ptarmigan/Ram Fall Classic.
