FRESNO, Calif. - Goessling Wins WAC Honors
Kicker Kevin Goessling was named Special Teams Player of the Week for Oct. 25.
FRESNO, Calif. - After a stellar kicking performance against San Jose State last weekend, Kevin Goessling was named the Western Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.
Goessling, a junior from Placentia, Calif. (Servite HS), was 4-for-4 in field goal attempts in Fresno State's 33-18 win at San Jose State. He had two field goals over 40 yards including a long of 44. Goessling was also 3-for-3 on extra point attempts to run his consecutive streak to 116, 12 shy of the all-time WAC record.
Other special teams nominations included: freshman safety David Graves, Hawai'i; sophomore punter Bobby Cowan, Idaho; and junior kick returner Taveon Rogers, New Mexico State.
