Revel Earns National Honor

FRESNO, Calif. - Coming off three flawless performances in the 2010 Western Athletic Conference Tournament Kaitlyn Revel, a senior goalkeeper from San Mateo, Calif., was named to the CS360 Primetime Performers of the Week by CollegeSoccer.com.
Before the tournament this past weekend in Ruston, La., Revel was named first-team All-WAC for the third time in her career. Revel lived up to her title by not allowing a goal in the three matches Fresno State played, which extended her steak to four consecutive shutouts.
Revel has not allowed a goal in a total of nine games this year, and her 32 career shutouts is a Fresno State record. Revel has not allowed a goal in the last 380 minutes of game play.
On top of her stellar play in front of the net, Revel scored the first penalty kick against San Jose State on Sunday to help the Bulldogs earn their second career WAC Tournament title.
Fresno State will face No. 4 seed University of Central Florida in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. This will mark Revel's second career tournament appearance, her last being in 2008 against UCLA.
This is the fourth time in school history the Bulldogs have advanced to the NCAA Tournament. The game will be played Thursday, Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. in Los Angeles.
