Bulldogs Complete Day 2 with Victories

FRESNO, Calif. - Another victorious day for the Dogs as they continue their streak of victories by earning four in doubles and five in singles.
In doubles, Bianca Modoc teamed up with Olga Kirpicheva to take on and defeat Pacific's Lombard and Nevada's Verberne, 8-5. She also paired with Abby Hayley and battled for the second time, Pacific's Lombard and Nevada's Verberne, 8-4.
Hayley competed with Pacific's Maciel against Portland State's Stocking and Pellicano. The Bulldog and Tiger earned the victory, 8-4. Maciel also paired with Fresno State's Anna Mikhaylova and the duo dropped their match to Portland State's Sugiyama / Dalkin, 8-3.
Melissa McQueen and Mikhaylova paired together to take on Nevada's Ogata and Okhremchuk. The Wolf Pack earned picked up the victory, 8-4. McQueen also teamed up with Kirpicheva and defeated Nevada's Verberne and Okhremechuk, 8-5
The victories continued in singles as each Bulldog earned a win in each match they played in.
Hayley, the freshman from Texas swept Portland State's Vadali, 6-0, 6-0.
Kirpicheva, the sophomore from Russia defeated Portland State's Pellicano, 6-1, 6-1.
Modoc continued her winning streak of the day as she earned a victory over Portland State's Todd, 6-1, 6-1.
Mikhaylova kept the Bulldog victories coming as she defeated the Viking's McClaran, 6-1, 6-0.
To finish up the night, McQueen earned the final Bulldog win against Portland State's Sugiyama, 6-2, 6-4.
Day three of the Classic will continue at Wathen Tennis Center at 8:30 a.m.
