Dogs Open Spring Schedule at Stanford

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's golf team returns to action this weekend at the Stanford Peg Barnard Invitational at the University Course on the Stanford campus. It's the same course that will this year's NCAA West Regional. Four teams in the field are ranked in the Top 25 nationally.

2010 Field: Arizona, Cal, Texas, Stanford, Hawaii, Fresno State, UC Davis, Long Beach State, Washington, Oregon, San Jose State
The Bulldog lineup consists of Hali Coppin, Louisa Lies, Pia Escandon, Lindi Covarrubias, and Chelsea Czinski.

Format:
Saturday: 8 am PT (shotgun start), 18-holes
Sunday: 9 am PT (shotgun start), 18-holes
Looking Ahead
Fresno State kicks off the spring semester with a visit to the Peg Bernad Invitational hosted by Stanford. The Bulldogs will then prepare for their home tournament, March 1-2, the Fresno State Lexus Invitational at the fabulous Copper River Country Club. Fresno State will participate in three other tournaments before getting ready to compete in the WAC championships.
Fall Recap
The Bulldogs are coming off a solid fall schedule that saw them finish in the Top 5 of two tournaments of four tournaments, the Inland Cup at Washington State (tied for fifth) and the New Mexico State Price Intercollegiate, where they tied for fourth. Senior Hali Coppin had a strong finish to the fall season with one of her best tournaments of her career, a fifth-place finish at the New Mexico State event. She tied a career-low 71 on her final round to post a 218 for the tournament.
