Ribera Named Primetime Performer

FRESNO, Calif. - CollegeBaseball360.com announced their inaugural "primetime performances" during the season's opening weekend (Feb. 19-21). Fresno State first baseman Jordan Ribera was among the group of players from throughout the nation recognized for their performance last weekend.
Ribera hit .500 in the series against Nebraska. In the opener, he hit the walk-off home run to give the Bulldogs the win. He hit two more home runs in the second game of the series and tied the school record for consecutive home runs with three.
Ribera has hit five home runs in his last seven games dating back to last season. Ribera finished the 2009 campaign with two game-winning home runs against New Mexico State and earned the WAC Tournament MVP honor.
Ribera was one of two WAC athletes honored. The group consisted of 20 young men including, Hawai'is Collin Bennett and Oregon's Danny Pulfer.
The criteria for receiving the honor from CollegeBaseball360.com is that a student-athlete must have been playing for a CB360 top-50 team (in the Composite National Rankings) or against such a top-level opponent, or performed a high level in a game that could be key to a team's conference/NCAA postseason qualification or they have to be involved in clutch performances, such as late game-winning hits, noteworthy comebacks, game-changing plays, team leadership, etc.

"We Are Your Team" - The Fresno State baseball heads north to take on the Washington Huskies on February 26th through the 28th.
