Hogan Earns WAC Honors

FRESNO, Calif. - Bryan Hogan has been named the Verizon Wireless Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week for March 1-7.
Hogan, a junior from Bakersfield, Calif. (Cal State Bakersfield), had his best tournament as a Bulldog, tying for fifth place at four-under par at the USC Invitational. The tournament field included 14 teams, seven of which were ranked in the top 25.
Hogan shot two rounds of 69 and an even-par round of 71. For the tournament he finished with 12 birdies and did not have a score worse than bogey over 54 holes. Other men nominated: Tim Madigan, New Mexico State.
San Jose State's Cristina Corpus was the women's Verizon Wireless WAC Golfer of the Week. The senior from San Leandro, Calif. (San Leandro HS), won her first collegiate tournament title at the Fresno State Lexus Classic as she shot a two-under par 214.
